Interferon beta-1a is used to treat multiple sclerosis, a disease where the immune system attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing problems with movement and other functions. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of relapses in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.[1] Avonex is currently being investigated across 20 indications[3], with its most advanced program in Phase 3.[1]
Avonex is one of 491 small molecule programs targeting Adult Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. It is currently in Phase 3.
