Vemurafenib is used to treat certain types of melanoma (a serious skin cancer) and other cancers that have a specific genetic mutation called BRAF V600E. It works by blocking the cancer cells' ability to grow and spread.[1] Zelboraf is currently being investigated across 20 indications[3], with its most advanced program in Phase 3.[1]
