TAK-438 is used to treat acid reflux and ulcers by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It works differently than older acid-reducing medications and may be more effective for some patients.[1] Vonoprazan is currently being investigated across 2 indications[3], with its most advanced program in Phase 3.[1]
