Cixutumumab is an experimental drug being studied to treat certain types of cancer, particularly those that grow when stimulated by a protein called IGF-1. It works by blocking this growth signal to slow or stop cancer cell growth.[1] IMC-A12 is currently being investigated across 22 indications[3], with its most advanced program in Phase 2.[1]
