Disulfiram is a medication used to support recovery from alcohol addiction by creating an unpleasant physical reaction if someone drinks alcohol while taking it. This reaction discourages drinking by causing symptoms like flushing, nausea, vomiting, and chest pain that occur within 10 minutes of alcohol consumption.[2] Antabuse is currently approved and in use across 28 indications[4].[1]
