Megestrol acetate is used to treat loss of appetite and weight loss in patients with AIDS, and to treat certain types of cancer (particularly endometrial and breast cancer). It can help patients regain appetite and gain weight.[2] Megace is currently approved and in use across 29 indications[4].[1]
