Chlorhexidine gluconate is an antimicrobial rinse used to reduce bacteria in the mouth to treat and prevent gum disease, and it's also used as a skin cleanser before surgery or for wound care to prevent infection.[1] Peridex is currently being investigated across 18 indications[3], with its most advanced program in Phase 3.[1]
